Today's a Good Day
...if you are a Canadian CEO. By 9:46 a.m. this morning, the average CEO will have earned $38,010.00 thus far in 2006- the equilvalent amount that the average Canadian will earn IN ALL OF 2007! If you are only earning minimum wage- that'd be, on average, $15,931.00 in 2007- the average CEO would have alraeady earned more than you by 12:40 on New Year's Day. And he'd still likely be drunk! How is this remotely fair? No wonder the gap between rich and poor continues to grow. In case you need even more reasons to smash the system, have a look at the full study, done by the people at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives. Oh, and by the way, by the time 2008 rolls around, the average CEO will have earned $9, 059, 113, unless of course the revolution comes in the next 363 days.
