Horst Klaus of the Niagara Secular Humanists has written this excellent letter to the editor on the need for a unified secular school system in Ontario. He also explains the role that religious educational would/should play in such a system.
Such a system is one that I fully support, and one that this blogger is praying for (err...hoping for).

I know that at least school boards across Ontario voted for a resolution to be sent to the Ontario Public School Board Association (OPSBA) to be voted on at their AMG in June. I know that the libs are deadset against it. If the resolution passes, it will mean that this provincial body will lobby the govt to change the system. This is one trustee who not only supports it, but championed it through through school board meeting.
